Purim celebrates God’s deliverance of the Jewish people from annihilation under Esther and Mordecai during the rule of the Persian King Xerxes.

Our celebration will be complete with a “silent movie” type play while reading the scroll of the  Book of Esther.  We will have groggers to help us blot out the name of the villain when his name is read.  We will have special music, dance, a message of the significance of the Book of Esther for us today. The is a great time to bring children of all ages.  Many will dress in costumes.

Afterwards, join us for a full meal, complete with the traditional (and yummy) pastry called hamantaschen.

The celebration will be at Hope in Messiah Congregation the Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at 2017 River Street (formerly Old Louisville Road) in Bowling Green.

If you have any questions, please call Jonathan Sacks at (270) 303-9410

Hope to see you Saturday!
